1. Definition of Technology Education: Technology
education is a planned process designed to develop students' competence and
confidence in understanding and using existing technologies and in creating
solutions to technological problems. It contributes to the intellectual and
practical development of students, as individuals and as informed members of a
technological society.

set up to promote and support Technology Education in New Zealand. It is of
interest to all those working in Technology Education, working in a
technology-based enterprise with an interest in education, and those just plain
interested!
